Zone Privacy Policy

Zone is a focus timer and ambient-audio app. No developer account is required. We do not operate a server to collect your focus records or usage behavior.

On-device data

Zone stores focus records, such as start times, duration and completion state, together with timer settings, language selection and audio preferences on your device. Audio files are bundled with the app. Zone has no advertising, third-party behavioral analytics or cross-app tracking.

Optional iCloud sync

When enabled, focus records are stored in your own private iCloud database through Apple CloudKit and synchronized between devices using the same account. Apple provides this service under its privacy policy and iCloud terms. We do not receive these records through a developer-operated server. You can disable sync in the app; doing so does not automatically delete existing cloud data.

Notifications and audio

Notifications provide focus and break reminders. You can decline permission or disable it in system settings. Background audio continues playing the ambient sound you select. Zone does not record microphone audio.

Feedback and contact

If you send email feedback, the recipient receives your email address and the content you choose to include so the feedback can be addressed. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information. For privacy questions, contact zonetimerapp@gmail.com.

Managing data and policy updates

Uninstalling removes app data from the device, but does not delete iCloud data or backups. Manage those through Apple's account and storage controls. We will update this page if the app's data practices change.
